Proud to share that my Giraffe Desk & Accent Lamp won an Honorable Mention Award at the international Design Intelligence Award contest, in 2022.

Twiga Mwangaza, translated from Kiswahili as ‘Giraffe Light’ is an elegant abstraction of an African Giraffe munching on Acacia tree leaves, into an adjustable desk lamp for task lighting or an ambient lighting and reading lamp for living rooms & bedrooms.

The choice for a Giraffe stems from how Kenya’s history and culture is tied to its magnificent wildlife, which in turn also boosts its tourism. And just like how Nairobi National Park is brings the wild to the capital city, Twiga Mwangaza brings the wild into the comforts of your home.

Fully adjustable in terms of height, cantilever, head direction and shade opening, it is the delightfully versatile lamp for all spaces.
